See you in the Spring

It's that time of year again! The days are shorter and the club is now closed for the season. But don't stop thinking about next year at the GCC. You don't have to be a member to enjoy the course; anyone can come golf and enjoy lunch at the upstairs restaurant... next Spring.

The restaurant will be open from 11-4 Tuesday through Sunday, so as soon as we open up... come play a round of golf and enjoy some yummy food, or just come for lunch and enjoy the view!

The Gouverneur Country Club is located just east of the village of Gouverneur, in the Town of Fowler. It was established in 1930 when B.O. Kinney, on behalf of the newly formed Gouverneur Country Club, finalized the purchase of the Manning farm at Hailesboro on June 25, 1930.

The clubhouse, which was the original farm barn, was remodeled and officially opened on June 22, 1932. It has since had a number of major renovations to modernize the first floor Pro Shop and second floor restaurant, blending “tradition and progress.”

The nine-hole course with 18 tees is characterized by its hilly landscape and undulating greens. The 6379-yard layout plays to a rating/slope of 70.1/122 and is considered a challenge by both the amateur and expert golfer.
